Router "show run" Configuration Backup Utility
Don't have access to a TFTP Server? Do
security policies in your company network prohibit TFTP Servers?
Are routers and IOS based switches behind Firewalls where TFTP
is blocked? Now backup all of your router configs and IOS
based Catalyst switch configs using this new utility.
Script telnets/ssh into router or IOS based switch and performs
a "show run". Saved config file looks just like a config
file saved using TFTP.
Script also gives you the choice to write
configurations to any sub-directory under the user data directory.
This is useful if you wish to
perform weekly configuration backups but don't wish to
overwrite the previous saved configuration file.
